Lifestyle Expectations
We believe that the Bible is the foundation to every lifestyle decision (2 Timothy 3:16). When you serve on a team at our church, we expect that you would work towards aligning your lifestyle with that laid out in Scripture. Understand that some lifestyle decisions will preclude you from being involved on a serve team while there are others that will be something that you can work on as you serve.
It’s important to carefully recognize the responsibilities of being a leader. The effects of a leader’s lifestyle are amplified across the lives of many people. (James 3:1)
We recognize that perfection is impossible this side of heaven, but it is important that there is always an experience of general progress in your life and that you are constantly refining your attitudes and behaviors to improve your relationship with Jesus Christ and the influence you have on others. (Philippians 2:12)
By accepting a position on a serve team, you are indicating you embrace the principles laid out in the Lifestyle Expectation.
